I just got 20 new African Cichlids today and I have never had them before. What are some behaviors that are normal. I got them into the tank they went wild swimming all over then 2 hrs later they are all laying at the bottom of the tank and less active. occasionally swimming around. I have lots of plants and rocks 44 gallon corner tank. Help I don't know what to expect want to get this right!

do a google search on the different types U bought. most African Chiclids are semi agressive to very agressive depending upon their tank mates.. a good search can give U an idea of what to expect.
