Hi every one! I have a 55 gal with 3 red zebras 3 livingstonis, 2 socolofi 1 yellow tail acei and a four lined cat. theyre all juvys no longer than 2.3, theres tons of hiding spots and good water conditions. the problem is the livingstonis are a new addition and the yellow tail is aggresive towards them. nothing brutal or anything but he does chase them and does some nipping. Im pretty sure its aterritorial thing. but Im just curiouse of what you folks have to say. If theres any other info you need let me know.THANKS

For aggression, you can try a couple day time out. Put fish that is bullying in another smaller tank. If you don't have a smaller tank, then I suggest a nursing bin. Those are the plastic boxes you hang on the inside of your tank that hold babies. However if your fish is too big, this could be a problem. I believe you said the fish was a juvie though and there for should fit in a nursing bin. Try this for a couple days. Reenter the fish into the community tank and turn out the lights for a few hours. You may see some initial bullying as all fish when reentered into the tank go on scavenger hunts. Wait a few hours and see if it passes. You can try giving a little food too while the lights are out to cause distraction when reentering the bully. If the time out does not work, try again. But only for a few days. If you find that this fish will not get along with others, you may just have to find him a new home. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.
