I know there haven't been any significant changes to the site in quite a while. As some of you know, we've been very busy with my parents' health problems, Greg's move down, and the wedding. He's here now, and as of 6/22, we're officially married. As things settle down, we'll be able to concentrate more on the website. We DO have plans for nice additions and changes, so keep coming back...

We've also been receiving a lot of concerned emails regarding the flooding in Central Texas. Folks... it's bad out there, but we're okay. We live on a hill at Canyon Lake, but we're WAY above spillway level... there is no way that we can flood out, so the fish are fine Smile We are, however, trapped behind a swollen creek and can't get out to town. No big deal, just makes a long weekend for us holed up together in the house Smile Unfortunately, the folks downstream aren't so lucky. Prez. Bush has declared our county (as well as many others in the area) a disaster area. I'm sure it's on the news and all that... if you're curious, it's the lake just north of San Antonio about halfway to Austin.

Thanks for your concern, but worry not... and keep us in mind, we WILL be spiffing up the site in the coming months, we promise!

LeeAnn,

Sounds pretty scary but good to know your safe and above it all. I used to live in flood areas myself, so I know how things can get in the rainy season.
I'm not going to feel to sorry for you as far as newly weds getting locked up for the wekend all by themselfs. Shocked
Laughing
Not to worry about the online site or your fish hobby. I already knew that once you got settled in with the fish and family. The next few years are going to be great as far as you folks and the fish hobby are concerned. I'm looking forward to it, if you want to know the truth.
You and Greg were made for each other and it's going to be fun to watch you grow as a couple and a family. To say nothing of what your going to be doing with the little fishy's in the coming year. Laughing

Have fun folks and thanks for the post. Very Happy

Floods can be pretty devastating. I remember when I was younger we lived about 3-4 blocks from a river. We moved out and then it rained. It rained so hard the river overflowed and it went and filled the basement totally (up to a few inches above the main floor) over a few hours. My bedroom used to be in the basement! Scary thought now. Shocked

That's a big aquarium!

This is why we don't have basements here...

That would depend on how much scuba time you are willing to spend cleaning that tank! Wink
