huge fan of the lake tanganyika.. i got some petricola cats and i was just wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me if they can mix with other Synodontis catfish, namely the "lace cat". i was at the fish store just about to buy one, but i noticed that these guy were a lot more agressive toward eachother than the petricola cats were, and i didnt want to risk it ruling my tank cause i kno they get a lot bigger than the petricola cats.. any advice??

The lace cat is probally Synodontis eupterus. They can get a tad mean and are solitary while the S. petricola are a social schooling fish. I personally wouldn't mix the two but that's not to say they wouldn't work (at least for a while). There are a couple different species sold as petricola and all stay much smaller that S. eupterus.
If it were me, I would stick to petricola and instead of adding a different species, add more petricola. They really do best in numbers.
