The Federation of Texas Aquarium Societies (FOTAS) holds an annual convention that rotates between member clubs. This year, for the first time, the Hill Country Cichlid Club is honored to host this prestigious event. We hope you will join us and the camaraderie of other aquarist for lectures from world class speakers, a show featuring the best in show fish Texas has to offer and a huge all species auction. Mark your calendar and join us in San Antonio for the largest fish event in the state.
The convention site is centrally located in San Antonio. Nearby attractions include the River Walk, Six Flags Amusement Park, The San Antonio Zoo and Seaworld. Nearby restaurants offers fare for every palate. There are abundant activities for the entire family so mark your calendar and join us for the largest fish event in the state. This year's annual convention will be held at the Springhill Suites by Marriott on Friday, September 7th thru Sunday, September 9th.

The Hill Country Cichlid Club is hosting the Federation of Texas Aquarium Societies (FOTAS) annual convention in San Antonio Texas September 7th – 9th, 2007 at the Springhill Suites, 3636 NW Loop 410, 78201. This event features speakers Juan Miguel Artigas Azas, Dave Hansen, Spencer Jack and Anton Lamboj. Saturday afternoon will feature a silent auction by the B.I.T.C.H.’s (Babes in the Cichild Hobby) and a huge all species auction all day Sunday (11:00am until the last bag is sold). The weekend will feature a huge fish show and lots to see and do.
