Hello,

I have a 75gl with an ac110 and a xp3 filter on it. The XP3 comes with a spray bar or jet option. Just would like to know which one "bar or jet people would use" I am not using an air pump or agitation just the HOB is that enough. If I use spray bar should I point it up. Will this limit the current in the tank. More than anything I am just confused.

Thanks

Ok I have the same filter. Your tank is 75 gal and that paticular filter is more than enough for that tank size. You don't need a pump as long as the current in the tank is good. You want to move the water around. The fish like it and it's good for them. I have used the bar with the holes and didn't care for the current it made. I use the jet and point it right down into the center of the tank diagnally. Most people point it right across the top of the water. I personally feel this moves the top more then the whole tank. I like it in the center pointing long way to opposite corner as it moves the whole tank.
It's a great filter. Good luck.
