i am going to change from saltwater to cichlids.. i am just tired of loosing $50 fish.... i will list my setup that i currently have .. please tell me what i need or dont need and what i should get.. thanks oh and also some good fish and proper gravel/substrate.thanks bill

200 gallon.. 2 overflows .. 40 gallon wet dry filter ..berlin protein skimmer... 4 vho actinic bulbs 160 watt...2 175 watt metal halides... thanks for your time..........

I also have been a long time salt guy currently have a 75 reef and then the 38 cichlids. ZFor your set up you will not have to change a whole lot, loose the lights cichlids dont require anything like youi salt tank. I am running an old power PC 96 watt and that is more than I really need. add some bio balls or bio bale to the wet dry if you dont have any in there. Youi never said what your substrate is hopefully sand so that will be good for the the rest cichlid. the rest should run fine

good luck and yes it is a much cheaper hobby than salt
