the other day i tryed doing a water change and the python wasnt creating suction.... i do not know why.... every thing was hooked up properly. any ideas??

did you turn on the valve in the middle of the hose? Is it one that connects to the sink? If so, you probably didn't turn the valve. Also the longer the hose, the harder time it has creating strong suction. If it one of those pythons that don't connect to the sink and you fill buckets or some kind of container, there maybe a small hole in the hose which will cause you to lose pressure. To check, put the hose in a bucket of water. Clean one end of the hose and breath a huge puff of air into the hose. Watch the water at the same time. If there is a hole, you will notice small bubbles. If you see bubbles, an easy fix is good ole duct tape or silcone.

well its only 25 ft long and i have it hooked to a hose.. it did work so im going to have to put it in the bucket to see if theres a leak but i would think i would see some type of spray off of it though.... i donno thanks.
