hi, everything was fine up until a week ago. all my fish are shaking their heads at me , like saying NO to me, back and forth. kinda darting around, and twitching in one spot sometimes. a guy at my petstore told me i need my ph higher and gave me crushed coral as a natural buffer to bring it up, now acouple a hours ago i notices little white spots, not sure if it is dust or particles of the crushed coral on them or desease, they dig alot so i thought it was dust but now i'm very scared, i did a water change and everyone seems to have calmed down. what do you suggest? i'm in the middle of setting up a 75 gallon for them now and really don't want them to die before i get it up and running.

Never heard of it, check the ingredients, if it says it has malachite green in it you are good to go, also check the expiration date on it.

ok so it is ich! fudge! excuse my language. what causes ich? everything was fine , tank has been cycling for a month now after i changed the gravel to sand, but fish have been in there the whole time. my ph is is around 8 -8.5, i really hope they survive this , i've grown really attached to them. i had velvet in my girlfriends 10 gallon not long ago, i got antibiotics but al the fish died. this is making me scared.
