So, I currently have a 20gal. housing 5 smaller sized cichlids. I am already well into upgrading having already purchased a 55gal. tank, Penguin 350 bio wheel HOB, and hoods and lighting and such. I also have 2 20lb. bags of the eco-complete cichlid mix (the fine sand grade). My question was this...well actually my girlfriend gave me the idea while looking at some of the 20lb bags of stones that most pet stores sell next to their other substrate.
Question:
Would their be a way to mix that cichlid mix with a 20lb. of these fist sized smooth river rocks, to make a different kind of rock bed...I know it might be a problem to clean out with a vac or something...but I thought I would throw the idea out there. These rive rocks are the disk shaped ones...about 1/2 a lb. each...you all know what I mean...you see them in all pet stores.

Ya I bought a bag of these sorta white rocks from wal-mart that are about an inch by an inch. I have been using it for about a year and all seem to be doing good. Now they have 50lb bags for $3.97 of marble chips about the same size, I want to get a bag and crush it up and add it to my crushed corral mbuna tank.all fishy things are awesome
