Hi and welcome.

The tank looks beautiful. It really does.

Just so you know, cichlids have a tendancy to dig under rocks. If they start digging under one of the lowest rocks in the substrate, it looks like you could possibly see your entire wall come down. I wish no bad luck on you but it has happend before with one of the other forum members. Just wanted to make you aware of that if you didn't already know.

Other than that, it really does look so nice. Good luck with it and hope to see you posting again.

Hi Malawi Mother,

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for the warning Smile

I know about chiclids digging up rocks. I have been raising fish for a good 30 years Smile

and use to breed Africans chiclids. The background that I have is glue with silicone on a 2 sheets of black tinted plexiglass and is held up by clamps from powerheads if you look close to the top in the picture you can probably see the clamps.

Thanks for the compliment Saleen. Here is a picture of the background that I made. There are 2 pieces that I put together in the tank and I did it while the fishes were in the tank. lol
I use a dark plexiglass so it looks dark or like a real cave inbetween the rocks.The only plants that are fake in the tank are the ones that I glue onto the rocks on the background.
