I am assuming you have a male. Unfortunatly they are one of the most aggressive and unfriendly fish in the african cichlids. You will only want to put fish that can hold their own with this auratus. The Kenyi, red zebra, bumblee bee etc etc. You may want to stay away from other fish that have the horizontal line going through them as it sometimes can lead auratus's to fight ex is the melanochromis johanni female.

In all honesty I myself and others have gone through the whole auratus thing and I think most of us have gotten all the fish we wanted and then just ended up getting rid of the auratus. The male just doesn't get along with anything really.

I wish they would stop selling that fish Mad

I noticed in your other post that you had two females and one male. If you intend on keeping the auratus, I advise you to have atleast 5 females. If you have juvies be very careful that you are not ending up with two males in your tank. Unfortunatly you can't have two males in the same tank. It almost never works out. They fight extreme! All auratus look like females until they reach maturity. Then the males will start to darken up underneith. When you see one losing it's beautiful yellow, I strongly advise you to take it out of the tank and replace elsewhere.
