On Monday November 11th, at 9:00pm Central standard time, Africancichlids.net will be hosting an online cichlid trivia challenge. Quiz master for this event is Spencer Jack, president of the Canadian Cichlid Association. Spence is a well known cichlid speaker and has given talks to many societies and conventions throughout North America. This is sure to be a lot of fun for everyone.
The contest will take place in fishroom. You can access this through the "chat" button on our front page. Since this is a mud driven program, if you want to take part you will have to create a charecter. This should only take a few mintues but make sure you do it sometime between now and 9pm central on Monday so you can get a feel of the way things work.
The format will be an easy one. A multiple choice question will be asked and participants will privately submit their answer. You will have to have a browser open as a few questions will be visual. After every 10 questions we will break and update the score. The five players who are the luckiest guessers, I mean most knowlegable cichlidphiles, will go on to have a final round of questions. For the person that comes out on top, the Canadian Cichlid Association has generously donated a year's membership to the winner.
This contest is open to all and doesn't cost a thing. Come on in and join the fun.
