hello everyone.
I have a question about my pleco. I know its not african but just the same, I've had him for about three years and hes come to a size of about 6 or so inches. About a month ago his waste has become very long and stringy. It appears now thats he makes more of a mess than what he cleans up. I was just wondering if this is normal of is he sick?
thanks in advance.

I got two cats on Saturday. The smaller one is about 5" and the larger 6". The larger one looks alot like the picture of Syno. nigromaculatus on Planet Catfish. It even has the ridges behind it's head, almost like it's wearing a mask. I was wondering if any other Syno's have the ridges or have I figured out what cat I have? I didn't notice any other Syno's that looked very close.
Any helpful info on Syno. nigromaculatus would be appreciated too. There wasn't much at Planet Catfish besides pictures and many of the sites I found were in other languages.
