Another trip to the world of pl*co... Panaque L-190 to be specific.

I tried keeping these guys once before (note: I had five of 'em at about 2.0") but I lost them due to some hairy idea I had to use wood the neighbour chopped off his tree that subsequently fouled my water.

I had some store credit at Petland (Pembina) and I was eyeing up a Panque Nigrolineatus (Royal Pleco) , also known as a #L-190. There were two or three of them in the tank but this guy was the largest by far. He appears to be about 3.5" to 4.0". He appears to be happy in my 150-gallon (48" x 24" footprint, 30" deep) living with 16 Tropheus Moorii "Nkonde" and 24 (approx.) Synodontis Petricola (2.0" or less). I placed a hollow piece of Malaysian Driftwood in the back of the tank but he seems to enjoy exploring the rock rift better. Smile

I've had him/her about 72 hours. In that time the crazy beast has devourded a thick slice of potato and a thick slice of zucchini! I hope my second experience with these guys is better than my first! *Fingers crossed* He was $49.99 CDN ($42.97 US) plus 14% taxes.

Weird to see replies so late. Smile

Those plecos were traded back when I did some shifty fish moves. Smile Thanks for the replies anyway.
