i had one yellow leleupi in my tanganyika tank that had no hostility what so ever. i just did a water change and rearranged the tank and added 2 more yellow leleupi that are just a little bigger then my original one (they are all between 1"-1.5"). now the 1st one won't let the other 2 near the rocks in the tank and sometimes chases them on the top with no mercy and it is perfectly fine with the other fish. why is this and what should i do about it?

See my response under General Discussion.

In a nutshell: remove the offender and put him in time out for a while Smile

how big is your tank?
how long did you have the first one for?
they tend to be very aggressive when the reach sexual maturity
and if they don't have a mate at the time the just take up a territory and guard it as if they were breeding. Moving rocks doesn't work all the time because they have there scent on it but if you add more rocks to your tank it may help the others find there place in the tank. When they settle down you might get a breeding pair. but you might want to remove the third one or it might be killed by the pair
i breed this fish for 2 years till the male of my wild pair died
